About the artist, Dan Lopez.

Dan Lopez is the artist behind Crystalline Visions Studio, a digital art practice devoted to luminous color, intricate detail, and elegant surrealism.

Art has been part of Dan’s life since childhood, beginning with a love of drawing and coloring and growing through a fascination with gemstones, metalsmithing, stained glass, fantasy imagery, and the abundant botanical beauty of Puerto Rico. Some of his earliest visual memories - from the brilliant colors in his mother’s makeup palettes and garden to gemstone collections, fantasy heroes, and the glowing stained glass of churches - continue to echo throughout his work.

The arrival of generative art tools gave Dan a way to take those influences into territory he had previously only imagined. Using Midjourney as a creative starting point, he combines carefully developed prompts, artistic references, visual experimentation, extensive editing, refinement, and upscaling. The process often feels like a form of digital alchemy: bringing together color, texture, memory, symbolism, and emotion until an image begins to feel alive.

Rather than pursuing beauty alone, Dan creates toward a feeling. He hopes each work offers a moment of recognition or transport, something that recalls a childhood wonder, reflects a private longing, or opens the door to another world.

Dan has had the privilege of creating commissioned work for clients both locally and internationally. Through Crystalline Visions Studio, he hopes to continue collaborating, refining his craft, and creating artwork meaningful enough to become part of someone’s home and life.
